Meet Luis Aguilar, Lodi's newest Economic Development Director
Luis Aguilar joined the City of Lodi as the new Economic Development Director in February and has hit the ground running!! Luis joins us from the City of Elk Grove where he successfully led numerous initiatives and programs to drive economic development. With over ten years of experience in the field, both at the regional and local levels, Luis brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise.
Luis has spearheaded the Downtown Specific Plan with the City of Lodi, promising a bright, focused future for Downtown Lodi businesses. We are so grateful for Luis’s dedication to Lodi’s success and look forward to working with the City of Lodi to shape a plan that is beneficial to businesses, locals, and visitors alike!
Prior to his role as Economic Development Manager with the City of Elk Grove, Luis spent over a decade in the San Francisco Bay Area where he worked for the East Bay Economic Development Alliance and the East Bay Community Foundation. Luis earned his Bachelors degree in Business Administration from the University of San Francisco and is currently pursuing his Executive Master in Public Administration degree from Golden Gate University. Luis resides in Elk Grove and in his spare time, he enjoys traveling and spending time with his wife and two children.
