Safe Halloween in Downtown Lodi, A Sweet Tradition
Get ready, Lodi! Safe Halloween is back for its 14th year, and we can’t wait to welcome families to a fun, festive, and safe afternoon in Downtown Lodi.
On Saturday, October 25th from 12–2 p.m., participating Downtown merchants will be handing out candy to trick-or-treaters of all ages. It’s one of our favorite traditions—a chance to see our historic downtown filled with superheroes, princesses, ghosts, and goblins, all enjoying treats while exploring the heart of our community.
🍬 How It Works
Families are invited to stroll through Downtown Lodi, where local shops and businesses will be ready with candy and smiles. Costumes are encouraged (parents, too!), and don’t forget to bring a bag to collect your goodies.
🛍 Why Downtown?
Safe Halloween is more than just candy—it’s a way to connect with the businesses that make Downtown Lodi vibrant and unique. After the event, stick around to enjoy lunch, discover new shops, or take a leisurely walk under the Lodi Arch. Supporting our local merchants helps keep Downtown thriving all year long.
🧡 Safety First
While this event is designed to be family-friendly, here are a few reminders to keep the afternoon safe and fun for everyone:
Use crosswalks when crossing streets.
Keep an eye on little ones—downtown can be busy!
Make sure costumes don’t block vision or cause tripping.
Bring a water bottle and take breaks if needed.
👻 Join the Fun!
Whether you’re a longtime Lodian or visiting for the first time, Safe Halloween is the perfect way to celebrate the season. We’re proud to continue this tradition that brings families, merchants, and our community together in the heart of Downtown.
We can’t wait to see you (and your costumes!) on Saturday, October 25th from 12–2 p.m. for an afternoon full of treats, smiles, and community spirit.
